Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to European Academic Association. By accessing or using our website located at european-aa.eu (the “Site”), including any services related to the European Consortium for Null Review, the European Consortium for Scientific Review, European Consortium for Research Collaboration and European Consortium for Funding, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.

Eligibility

By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms of Service.

User Accounts

Registration

To access certain features of the Site, including submitting journals to the European Consortium for Null Review and the European Consortium for Scientific Review, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information.
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

Submissions to European Consortiums

Journal Submissions

Submission Process
  • Eligibility to Submit: Registered users may submit their journals to the European Consortium for Null Review or the European Consortium for Scientific Review through the Site.
  • Submission Fees: A non-refundable payment is required for each submission. All payments are final, and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
  • Exclusive Submission: By submitting a paper to the Site, you agree not to submit the same paper to any other journal or publication simultaneously.
Voting and Approval Process
  • Voting Mechanism: Submissions will be subject to a community voting process. Cumulative votes are counted at the end of each day.
  • Approval Threshold: If a submission receives less than one-third (1/3) of all votes in favor of approval by the end of the day, the submission will be removed, and submission rights revoked.
  • Evaluation of Standings: Submissions are evaluated based on their cumulative voting standings, not on a daily renewal of voting periods.
  • Notification: Users will be notified of the voting outcome via email or through their account dashboard.

User Rights and Responsibilities

  • Content Removal by User Request: Users have the right to request the removal of any of their own submissions at any time. Such requests can be made through the account settings or by contacting customer support.
  • No Refunds: Removal of submissions by user request or due to insufficient votes does not entitle the user to a refund of any fees paid.
  • Prohibition of Claiming Publication: If a paper is removed due to insufficient votes, the user is prohibited from claiming that the paper has been published.
  • Prohibition of Republishing Removed Papers: Even after removal, the user is prohibited from republishing the removed paper on the Site or submitting it to any other academic journal.


Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
  • Violating Laws and Rights: Using the Site to violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
  • Spamming and Manipulation: Engaging in activities that manipulate the voting process, including creating multiple accounts or using automated systems.
  • Harmful Conduct: Uploading or distributing any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Interference: Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Site or its data.
  • Data Mining: Using any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering or extraction methods.
  • Inappropriate Content: Submitting or transmitting any content that contains nudity, violence, or sexually explicit material.
  • Inappropriate Language: Use of offensive or inappropriate language.


User-Generated Content

License Grant

By submitting content to the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, copy, modify, distribute, and display such content in connection with operating and providing the Site services.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the jurisdiction of a court in Jesenice, Slovenia, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

Donation Fees

All donations made to the Site may be subject to processing fees charged by third-party payment processors. These fees are non-refundable and are deducted from the total amount donated. Users are responsible for any additional fees that may apply based on their chosen payment method.

Scholarship Fund Donation Fees

Donations specifically made to scholarship funds may also incur processing fees. These fees are non-refundable and are applied to cover the costs associated with managing the scholarship funds. The structure of scholarship fund donations, including fee amounts, may be subject to change as outlined in the Pricing and Fees section.

Non-Refundable Nature of Fees

All fees associated with donations, including processing fees and any other administrative charges, are non-refundable. Users acknowledge and agree that once a donation is made and fees are deducted, neither the European Academic Association nor any associated entities will issue refunds for these fees under any circumstances.

Fee Structure Changes

We reserve the right to modify the fee structure associated with donations and scholarship fund donations at any time. Any changes to the fee structure will be communicated to users via email or through a prominent notice on the Site prior to implementation. Users are responsible for reviewing and understanding the fee structure before making a donation.

Reservation of Rights to Modify Fees

The European Academic Association reserves the right to change, modify, or discontinue any fees related to donations and scholarship fund donations at its sole discretion. Such changes will not affect donations already made but will apply to all future donations.

User Inability to Change Fees

Users are not permitted to alter, negotiate, or request changes to the fees associated with donations and scholarship fund donations. All fees are set by the European Academic Association and are non-negotiable.

Donation Privacy

Donor information is strictly protected and accessible in accordance with the permissions provided. Email addresses of donors is only ever provided to fundraising campaign authors according to the privacy permissions by the donors.

Fundraising Campaigns

Starting a Fundraising Campaign

Users may start fundraising campaigns to support their projects or initiatives. To start a campaign, you must:
  • Provide accurate and truthful information about your project.
  • Agree to our Campaign Guidelines.
  • Ensure that all funds raised are used in accordance with the stated purpose of the campaign.
  • Provide a link to your fundraising campaign where all donors and donations can be publicly viewed.

Managing Fundraising Campaigns

Campaign organizers are responsible for managing their campaigns and ensuring that all donations are used as intended. Any misuse of funds may result in the termination of your account and legal action.

Declaration of Funding Sources

All projects and papers funded with funds raised through the Site must clearly declare that the funding originated from the European Academic Association and the Site. This declaration should include a link to the fundraising campaign where all donors and donations are publicly listed. The declaration must be included in all relevant publications, presentations, and official documents to maintain transparency and acknowledge the source of support.
